Your local LP DeKalb County party organization
Welcome statement, bylaws, officers, staff, elected officials, candidates, events, state officers

We welcome your participation and support.  Please join us!
The Libertarian Party of DeKalb County is your choice for freedom today here in DeKalb. We are the only political organization which respects you as a unique and competent individual. The Libertarian way is a logically consistent approach to politics based on the moral principle of self-ownership. Each individual has the right to control his or her own body, action, speech and property. Government's only just role is to help individuals defend themselves from force and fraud initiated against them by others. We believe that government works best when it's small and decisions are made at the local level. A return to the Constitutional limits of the Federal Government is a priority. We believe that being free and independent is a great way to live. We want a system which encourages you to choose what you want from life; that lets you dream, work, love, and live your own life, your own way. The Libertarian way is a caring, people-centered approach to politics. We believe each individual is unique. We want a system which respects the individual and encourages us to discover the best within ourselves and develop our full potential.

"There are great things happening with the Libertarian Party of DeKalb County and the LP of Georgia in 2001. Membership, revenues, activism, inquiries, web site hits, public outreach, and press coverage are all consistently increasing beyond record levels. We are particularly focused on making a difference locally here in DeKalb and it's cities in 2001. Look for some 2001 city council candidates this fall. Come visit with us at our next monthly meeting." -- LP DeKalb 2001 Chairman, Tom Freese
