1. Fundraising coordinator, (in cooperation
with Treasurer) - become our expert on fundraising, do cost-benefit
analysis of prospective fundraising activities, coordinate resources for
this class of events, experience in sales might help here, write or advise
on fundraising communications of LPDK or our candidates.
2. Community and Local Government Monitor(s)
– Monitor DeKalb County local government’s web pages, press releases,
local media content, public meetings, and mailings. Report summaries, upcoming
public meetings, and liberty threatening or liberty protecting issues to
party members. Provide this via meeting presentations, web site content,
and Torch content. This includes school boards, county commissioners,
city governments, zoning boards, etc…
3. Membership Coordinator – Welcome new
members and follow up with new inquiries. Coordinate membership recruitment,
volunteer recruitment, membership retention, activist retention, etc...
4. Press Communications Coordinator -
Identify local press contacts, issue press releases, attract press coverage,
coordinate interviews, (aka Press Secretary?), etc ....
5. Meeting Coordinator, - Coordinate general
meetings and special meetings, reserve sites, book speakers, arrange refreshments,
provide announcements to local media calendars, etc...
6. Social Coordinator - Coordinate
fun
stuff, parties, and non-political stuff to build relationships within party
and introduce our satellite friends to the group putting a friendly face
on our organization. Examples - like a Christmas party, New Years party,
Pool party, Birthday parties, field trips to amusement parks or festivals,
etc…. Provide social announcements for web site and Torch like member
birthdays, member weddings, member graduations, etc…
7. Candidate Coordinator – Leverage support
for DeKalb candidates, recruit future candidates, identify upcoming DeKalb
races, coordinate debates or speaking arrangements between the party meetings
and the candidates. Report status to members.
8. Torch Publisher & Editor-in-chief
- Solicit content, format & produce copy, final edit decisions,
set deadlines based on executive committee requirements, coordinate distribution.
9. A Special Event Coordinator – OPH Booths,
Tax Day Protest, Garage Sale, etc… (usually an annual event).
