July 2nd, 2000 - Anaheim, CA

30 Georgia delegates attended the national LP convention in Anaheim, California. (June 29th - July 3rd, 2000) For the second convention in a row the Georgia delegation was seated front and center due to having the fastest growth rate in LP membership!  Among those pictured in the front row is Sandi & Bill Tepper (Forsyth), Helmut & Michele Forren (Gwinnett), and Mark Mosely LP Georgia state director as Harry Browne is announced as the first ballot winner and approaches the stage to give his acceptance speech live on C-Span.

DeKalb had 11 delegates at the convention.  Here DeKalb member Tom Freese meets with Harry Browne after his nomination and with Reginald Jones, one of the great speakers at the convention (his Friday speech was titled Liberty is the cure for racism).
